I chose rich golds in the vintage costume jewelry that I up-cycled into a new life, as well as, glass beads in black, peaches, greens – some are from the 1920s with foil bands and bullseyes – some are Peking glass. Lots and lots of hoopy-loops that look like grasses and underbrush in my mind and echo the colors and textures of the egg.

Fit for royalty! The egg itself is hollow and light weight, but someone has painstakingly painted it in great detail with curly-cues and scrolls in a flora motif. Stems and leaves with gold veins.
This is a sizable piece built on a 3" brass cuff.
I love the size and asymmetry of the shape of an egg which I often use in my art…
