Love Bird Tradition Mother of Pearl Nuptial Wearable Art Cuff
$345.00
While this one doesn’t scream wedding, there a number of nuptial subject matter incorporated into it: a brassy metal trinket box with pewter silver pair of doves on top, a bar of puffed hearts (formerly a hair clip), mother of pearl caved with two birds, anchor (victorian symbol for fidelity), even the dangle carries on the heart motif.
There is a tiny coin, faux pearls, Spanish guitar, lots of flowers, and of course, a vintage marble (one of my signature components common in nearly every art piece I create.)
Inside the oval box centerpiece, you can place anything your heart desires – rings, a friendship heart charm, or something practical like pills or meter money!
Cake and flower deteriorate and disappear, this piece of art will be useful beyond the wedding as a keepsake on display, as well as wearable.

This lovely Mother of Pearl CuffIt measures 3” x 3 ¼” x ¾”. It is sizable fit your wrist. The color is a muted brassy gold, and the top is fairly flat so you won’t bang it on things – especially since I construct the bottom edges of the cuff to be flat.
Because doves/birds are prominent as subject matter on this piece, I researched and found them to be represented commonly...
in Judaism when Noah released a dove for it to find land…
In Christianity representative of the Holy Spirit of God in the baptism of Jesus…
As a symbol of Peace in art and political cartoons, and in paganism! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doves_as_symbols

By the way, have you ever wondered at how some of the traditional symbols of weddings & marriage originated?
I liked this article I found online that explained how so many of those came to be…https://www.llewellyn.com/journal/article/1836
