He sports a black marble (one of my signatures) atop his noggin. He is strolling through a garden of vintage costume jewelry – big coppery beads that used to be a bracelet; a Lily of the Valley brooch brushes his flank; there are stems that were drilled sticks strung as part of a necklace; and a brass finial from a small lamp (interesting shape.) There are enameled porcelain discs that were formerly earrings; dress clips, a tie clip, a cork ball, alongside other residents of womens’ jewelry chests from the 1950s through 1980s!

The Great Scott Dog Figurine Structural Cuff looks like he'll walk right off the cuff! Brown and black and burnished gold tones make up the color pallet of this structural art piece.
All components are mounted on a patent leather belt over a 3” brass cuff. The figurine is 2 ½” tall making the standing dimensions 4 ½” x 3 ½” x 3”. When not on display, it makes a stunning accessory to a special event (dog show?) How about a marvelous gift for a dog lover or Scottish Terrier owner?!
So Why Marbles?
Many of us played with marbles as toys when we were kids… not me; I didn’t want to crack, break, or mar them, just collected them! I loved how tactile they were – smooth and cool – sometimes I’d just run my hand around on them – a non-addictive, mild sedative.
