Sculptural Art Piece – Pearl of Great Price
The coppery bronze metal framework is actually a former four-sided bell ornament mounted on a heavy ceramic base (formerly the base to a trinket box.)
The nativity pieces are each marked ITALY inside their hollow molded plastic forms. There is a clear marble, vintage earrings, and lots of faux pearls in shades from white to browns.
This beautiful Sculptural Art Piece makes for a one-of-a-kind centerpiece! Above the section with the babe is a cool glowing earring. Think beams of light! In addition, below that is a clear disc with an amber bead with an faux pearl center. Hence, this represents the star in the east.
“The pearl of great price…” refers to the Bible parable Matthew 13:45-46. Specifically, to the value of the Kingdom of Heaven and is why I prominently used pearls in this piece. Near the Christ babe is the largest (greatest) pearl. Implying to His value in Heaven and on Earth alike.
