Stripes & Lace Painted Wood Egg Cuff

An Easter Egg you can wear any time of year! It is painted a complex striped design in oranges, tans, and black. The components on this piece span seven decades – 1940s through 2010!
Around the base of the egg is a GT link bracelet with squares of moon glow Lucite by Coro; a cateye marble; there are teardrops of amber glass from Austria; a bead of bone, several 1950s earrings, and boiled wool fuzz ball of black & tan; and of course something that dangles (can you find it?)
This is one of a set of three I created at the same time…

I construct the bottom edges of the cuff to be flat so that the piece will stand alone, and if worn while writing or key boarding it will not bang on things. These are wearable although many acquire them as mini sculptures.
BTW, I often wear a cuff over the top of a sleeve which allows me to wear an even broader range of cuff sizes.
It is built on a 2” brass cuff and the construction rises 1 ½”, making its overall dimensions, 3 ¼” x 4 3/8” x 3” which makes it a wearable, bold statement piece – and of course, will look spectacular on display, too!
